Thanksgiving in China usually sucks all around. Either the food sucks and isn't actually thanksgiving food or it is really expensive (Turkeys are imported and cost somewhere around $90 USD) and it is more than likely both.
But my friend's mom took over the Thanksgiving dinner at school this year and it was PASSABLE.

This never happens. Getting passable traditional AMERICAN FOOD made directly in China is a miracle! It wasn't perfect, with stuffing that looked and tasted like cardboard had been added and the potatoes were dry and bland, but the dark meat was SOOOOO GOOOOHOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOD!!!!!!! (hehe. you try vocalizing that)
The pumpkin pie was good for being made from a pumpkin bars recipe and the apple pie, nee crisp, was also SOOOOO GOOOOHOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOD that I ate three pieces of it.

Props to Mrs. Preston for making a nice thanksgiving for us deprived US expats.


Exam week next week. I might just fail the Chinese exam. Parents won't be happy. I should probably study some more, but ....If I learn new characters, I tend to forget the old ones. At least she was reviewing conjunctions and measure words with us this week.
